Category 2: Exclamatory Statement Breadcrumb
Exclamatory statements are the easiest to recognize. Understand what they signal.
Category two, exclamatory statement breadcrumbs. What's an exclamatory statement? For the rest of our lives, we know somebody says, "Here's the deal," or they say, "Well wait. Stop. I don't think you get it." Somebody says, "Bottom line, up front." It's any statement in which the speaker says, "People only listen to about 25%. I really need to get their attention." What we know about these category two exclamatory statements is when they come out, when we hear a, "Here's the deal," whatever comes next, that's what we're going to respond to. Somebody says, "Here's the deal, I'm in a tricky situation." Ah, a tricky? Subjective statement. That's a category one. That's what we're going to respond to. But, "Here's the deal," is what caught our attention. Trust me. Today, you're going to hear exclamatory statements. Remember, that's the test. Are you listening to what I'm about to say next?
