Won't Empathy Based Listening Extend the Time Spent in Meetings?
Explore how Empathy Based Listening and moving to another's stage can help you uncover clients’ needs faster.
Let me ask you this. Do you think that if you implement this empathy based listening, there's no way that you're going to be able to manage the relationships with all of your clients?
This is just going to take too long. Of course, it appears like we're going to have hours and hours of conversations. I need you to understand this. When you implement this empathy-based listening - what we're looking for, the breadcrumbs, the path to their stage. Every single time that you meet with anyone, but especially your clients and your prospects, in the first 3 minutes of those engagements, they will drop at least five breadcrumbs.
So if we can learn these breadcrumbs, know how to discover on them, you will find accomplishment. You will get on their stages. The reason conversations take so long is because there's this stage battle. We've been trying to drag our clients into our agenda, our goals, have these meetings about what we want to get accomplished, but when we hand it to them, we give them that control, they so quickly are dying for someone to be the director of their movie. You implement this empathy-based listening and you're going to realize this process, not only is it fast, all of your meetings will actually shorten through this process.
