    Adam joined MFS in 2004 as a corporate credit research analyst before assuming his current role in 2009. His previous experience also includes six years at Manulife Financial, where he served in credit risk management and as a credit analyst and senior auditor.

    Adam earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western University and a Graduate Diploma in public accountancy from McGill University. He holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Accountant (CA) designations.

    Alexander joined MFS in 1998 as a financial control assistant and was promoted to section manager in 2000. He joined the Fixed Income Department as a research associate in 2001 was promoted to fixed income research analyst in 2004. He took on portfolio management responsibilities in 2017.

    Alexander has a bachelor's degree from Trinity College and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He is a member of the CFA Society of Boston.

    Erik S. Weisman, Ph.D, is an investment officer, chief economist and portfolio manager at MFS Investment Management® (MFS®). As a member of the Fixed Income team, he manages the firm's US and global inflation-adjusted, global total return and global government portfolios. Erik chairs both the Fixed Income Strategy Group and the Global Rates and Currency Group at the firm. He is also a member of the Risk Opportunities Group and the Macro-Micro Group.

    Erik joined the firm in 2002 as a global sovereign fixed income research analyst. Previously, he served for two years as assistant to the US executive director for the International Monetary Fund and for two years as an international economist in the Office of Central and Eastern Europe of the US Department of the Treasury.

    Erik earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and master's and Ph.D degrees from Duke University.

His prior experience also includes two years as a credit analyst with Alliance Bernstein, five years as an executive director and trader at UBS Investment Bank and four years as a director and head of high yield credit research, Europe, at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. He also served as an analyst with Sumitomo Trust & Banking Co., Ltd. and as a manager at NatWest Group earlier in his career. He began his career in the financial services industry in 1993.

    Pilar Gomez-Bravo, CFA, is an investment officer, director of Fixed Income -- Europe at MFS Investment Management® (MFS®). She is also a fixed income portfolio manager with oversight of the firm's Global Aggregate and Global Credit portfolio management teams. She is based in MFS' London office.

    Pilar joined MFS in 2013 as a portfolio manager from Imperial Capital, where she served as a managing director. She was named to her current position in 2017. She previously served as a portfolio manager and head of research at Negentropy Capital, within Matrix Asset Management, and cofounded Marengo Asset Management. From 2006 through 2010, she served as a senior portfolio manager and head of credit, Europe, for Neuberger Berman. She began her career in financial services at Lehman Brothers in 1997 and spent nine years with the firm, including serving as head of investment-grade credit research for Europe.

    Pilar earned the equivalent of an LL.B degree in Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business Science from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE E-3, Spain). She also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management. She has held the Chartered Financial Analyst designation since 2000.

Richard also serves on the MFS Fixed Income Strategy Group, Fixed Income Risk and Opportunities Group and the Currency Group.

    Richard joined the firm in 1988 and was named portfolio manager in 1996. During his tenure at MFS, he has held the following positions: high grade credit research analyst, European credit research analyst and international sovereign and currency analyst. His previous experience includes two years as credit and sovereign analyst at Fidelity Investments and five years as an international lending officer at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company covering Brazil.

    He earned a Bachelor's degree from Brown University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society, Inc.

    Rob has served in a variety of roles since joining MFS in 1994, including institutional marketing and client service. From 2000 to 2009, he was the product specialist for the firm's Luxembourg-registered SICAV funds, covering both equity and fixed income strategies. Since 2009, he has been part of the fixed income investment team, with a particular focus on emerging market debt and developed market sovereign debt.

    Rob graduated from Gordon College with a bachelor's degree. He earned a master's degree in education from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.     Ward Brown, CFA, Ph.D., is an investment officer and fixed-income portfolio manager at MFS Investment Management® (MFS®). He is a member of the Emerging Markets Debt team, and his management duties include MFS' emerging market debt strategies and institutional accounts in addition to conducting macroeconomic research and individual credit analysis.

    Ward joined MFS in 2005 as a fixed-income research analyst and was named portfolio manager in 2008. Prior to joining MFS, he served as an economist for the International Monetary Fund for eight years. Ward spent four years as a research and teaching assistant for the Financial Markets Group at the London School of Economics and Political Science and later served as a lecturer at the school in the Economics Department.

    Ward earned his bachelor's degree from McGill University and holds master's and doctoral degrees in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

    William J. Adams, CFA, is chief investment officer -- Global Fixed Income and a fixed income portfolio manager at MFS Investment Management® (MFS®). He has overall responsibility for the global team of fixed income portfolio managers and fixed income research analysts. Bill is also a member of the MFS Global Fixed Income Management team and serves on the portfolio management team of several of the firm's fixed income strategies. He is based in Boston.

    Bill joined MFS as a corporate credit analyst in 1997 and was named portfolio manager in 2000. He left MFS in 2005 and rejoined the firm in 2009 as director of High Yield Research. The following year, he was appointed director of Credit Research. In 2011, he was named high yield portfolio manager and was appointed director of Fixed Income, with oversight of MFS' team of fixed income research analysts. He was named to his current position in 2015. During his tenure at MFS, Bill has covered a number of sectors, including industrials, media, cable, telecommunications, retail and consumer products. As a portfolio manager, he has invested across a variety of investment-grade and high-yield corporate bond securities.

    Prior to joining the firm, Bill was a credit/securities analyst at Conseco Capital Management from 1994 to 1997, where his responsibilities included investment-grade and high-yield credit, as well as equity coverage. From 1991 to 1994, he served as a lending officer at Mellon Bank.

    Bill received a BA in 1988 from LaSalle University. In 1990, he was awarded an MA from Indiana University, where he also received an MBA in 1991. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.

    William P. Douglas is an Investment Officer of MFS Investment Management® (MFS®). He is an Investment Grade Fixed-Income Portfolio Manager of the balanced portfolios of our mutual funds, variable annuities, and institutional accounts. In this capacity, William participates in the research process and strategy discussions, maintains overall responsibility for portfolio construction, final buy and sell decisions, and risk management.

    William joined MFS in 2004 with more than 14 years experience, including ten years as vice president and senior mortgage analyst for Wellington Management Co. LLP.; and four years as a risk analyst for Arthur D. Little Inc.

    He earned a master's degree from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a artium baccaleureus degree from Brown University.
