MFS Research International Private Portfolio
Investment objective: To achieve superior, long-term capital appreciation by investing in highest conviction stocks internationally through the use of ADRs.
Goals: outperform the MSCI EAFE Index over a full market cycle.
Approach: seeks ADRs of foreign companies, across market capitalizations, with these characteristics:
- high-quality growth companies
- focus on long-term value creation
- above-average growth rate
- below-average valuation
David A. Antonelli - Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer for Non-U.S. and Global Equity Investments, and Co-Director of Global Equity Research. He is responsible for research, portfolio management, quantitative analysis and trading in MFS' equity department.
Michael T. Cantara, CFA - Investment Officer and an institutional portfolio manager of the firm’s global equity portfolios. In this capacity, he participates in research process and strategy discussions, customizes portfolios to client objectives and guidelines, and communicates the portfolios’ investment policy, strategy, and tactics.
James C. Fallon - Investment Officer and a portfolio manager. James manages domestic and international quantitative portfolios as a member of the MFS Quantitative Solutions Team.
Camille H. Lee, CFA - Investment Officer and an institutional portfolio manager of the firm's domestic and global small- and mid-cap growth equity portfolios.
The committee of MFS international analysts manage the Research International portfolio. General oversight of the portfolio is provided by David A. Antonelli, Chief Investment Officer of MFS, who has been with the company since 1991, by Michael T. Cantara, who has been with MFS since 2000 and effective July 2008 by Camille H. Lee, who has been with MFS since 2001.
