He also works closely with portfolio managers to ensure ideas are properly positioned within portfolios.

    Adam joined MFS in 2004 as a corporate credit research analyst before assuming his current role in 2009. His previous experience also includes six years at Manulife Financial, where he served in credit risk management and as a credit analyst and senior auditor.

    Adam earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western University and a Graduate Diploma in public accountancy from McGill University. He holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Accountant (CA) designations.

    Alexander M. Mackey, CFA, is co-chief investment officer of Fixed Income at MFS Investment Management® (MFS®). As co-CIO, he has joint oversight of MFS' global fixed income team and works collaboratively with the firm's investment leadership team to ensure its fixed income investors have the tools and skill sets necessary to serve clients globally. He is also a fixed income portfolio manager on several strategies, including the firm's multisector fixed income strategies, with oversight of dedicated US credit portfolios. Alexander assumed his current role in 2023. Prior to taking on portfolio management responsibilities in 2017, he worked as a credit research analyst for 13 years and a fixed income research associate for three years. He joined MFS as a financial control assistant in 1998. Alexander has a bachelor's degree from Trinity College and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He is a member of CFA Society Boston.

    Andy Li, CFA, is a fixed income portfolio manager at MFS Investment Management (MFS). He is based in London.

    Prior to joining MFS in 2018, Andy worked for four years as a portfolio manager at Man GLG. He previously served as a portfolio manager for ECM Asset Management for seven years and a management consultant at Accenture for two years. He began his career in financial services in 2005.

    Andy earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in computer science with honors from Imperial College, London. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

    Bryan joined MFS in 2002 as a client service representative. He held numerous roles at the firm, including fixed income trading associate and fixed income research associate, before assuming his current position in 2012.

    Bryan earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and his affiliations include the Boston Municipal Analysts Forum, CFA Institute, CFA Society Boston and National Federation of Municipal Analysts.

    David joined MFS in 2004 after working for five years as a high-yield analyst for Franklin Templeton Investments. Before that, he served as a financial economist/Treasury market analyst for Thomson Financial Services and an economist for Standard and Poor's.

    David has a bachelor's degree from Cornell University and an MBA from University of California, Berkeley. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

    Erik S. Weisman, Ph.D., is an investment officer, chief economist and fixed income portfolio manager at MFS Investment Management® (MFS®). As chief economist, he provides a broad-based view of major economic trends impacting financial markets and economic policy, serving as a thought leader for MFS clients and the firm's investment team as well as in the media. He manages the firm's US and global inflation-adjusted, global total return and global government strategies and chairs both the Fixed Income Strategy Group and the Global Rates and Currency Group. He is also a member of the Risk Opportunities Group and the Macro-Micro Group. Erik joined the firm in 2002 as a global sovereign fixed income research analyst. He assumed portfolio management responsibilities in 2003 and was named chief economist in 2015. Previously, he served for two years as assistant to the US executive director of the International Monetary Fund and for two years as an international economist in the Office of Central and Eastern Europe of the US Department of the Treasury. Erik earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in economics from Duke University.

    Joshua P. Marston is an investment officer and director of Fixed Income -- North America at MFS Investment Management® (MFS®). In addition, he serves on the Fixed Income department's Risk/Opportunities Committee and chairs the department's Macro/Micro Forum as well. Josh joined MFS in 1999 as a credit analyst and was named portfolio manager and head of Structured Product Research in 2002. In 2005, he was named director of Structured Products and Financials Research and joined the Fixed Income Management Committee. He was named director of Fixed Income in 2011 and director of Fixed Income -- North America in 2017. Josh earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University and a Master of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Previously, he served as senior analyst at Hartford Investment Management Company for two years and as sovereign analyst at Den Norske Bank for five years. He also had one year working as a lecturer at Shandong University of Finance and Economics.

    Kjetil earned a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Colorado at Boulder. He holds a Master of Philosophy degree from Cambridge University and a master's degree in business administration from Dartmouth College.     Lior joined MFS in 2014 as a fixed income research analyst. He was named director of Fixed Income Research -- Europe in 2017. He was previously a managing director and head of credit research (EMEA) at HSBC Bank, Plc., for four years. His prior experience also includes two years as a credit analyst with Alliance Bernstein, five years as an executive director and trader at UBS Investment Bank and four years as a director and head of high yield credit research, Europe, at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. He also served as an analyst with Sumitomo Trust & Banking Co., Ltd. and as a manager at NatWest Group earlier in his career. He began his career in the financial services industry in 1993.

    Lior earned a bachelor's degree with honors from Brunel University and both a Master of Business Administration and Doctor of Business Administration from Henley Management College.

In this role, he works collaboratively across the investment department to integrate ESG considerations into MFS' overall fixed income research process, working with analysts and portfolio managers to broaden and deepen their understanding of the impact sustainability factors may have on investment outcomes. He is a member of the working groups that guide the firm's ESG investment strategy and assess global collaborative initiatives and partnerships. Mahesh joined MFS in 2019 in his current role following a year as a senior portfolio manager at Oppenheimer Funds. He previously worked for State Street Global Advisors for ten years, where he was involved with several ESG- and sustainability-related initiatives. During his tenure at SSGA, he worked as a senior portfolio manager for nine years, transitioning to a senior ESG investment strategist role in his final year with the firm. He began his career in the financial services industry in 2008. Mahesh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems from Purdue University, a Master of Science degree in computer science from Boston University and a Master of Business Administration degree in business and finance from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Philipp assumed his portfolio manager role in 2017. He first joined the structured product team in 2003 as a research associate and became a research analyst in 2005. Prior to that, he served as a quantitative research associate. He joined MFS in 2000 in a sales role. Philipp earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University and a Master of Science degree from Boston University. As co-CIO, she has joint oversight of MFS' global fixed income team and works collaboratively with MFS' investment leadership team to ensure its fixed income investors have the tools and skill sets necessary to serve the firm's clients globally. She is also a fixed income portfolio manager with oversight of the firm's Global Aggregate and Global Credit portfolio management teams. She is based in MFS' London office. Pilar joined MFS in 2013 as a portfolio manager from Imperial Capital, where she served as a managing director. She was named director of Fixed Income -- Europe in 2017 before being named co-CIO in 2023. She previously served as a portfolio manager and head of research at Negentropy Capital, within Matrix Asset Management, and cofounded Marengo Asset Management. From 2006 through 2010, she served as a senior portfolio manager and head of credit, Europe, for Neuberger Berman. She began her career in financial services at Lehman Brothers in 1997 and spent nine years with the firm, including serving as head of investment grade credit research for Europe. Pilar earned the equivalent of an LL.B degree in Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business Science from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE E-3, Spain). She also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management. She has held the Chartered Financial Analyst designation since 2000.

    Robert M. Hall is an investment officer and institutional fixed income portfolio manager at MFS Investment Management® (MFS®). Robert has served in a variety of roles since joining MFS in 1994, including institutional marketing and client service. From 2000 to 2009, he was the product specialist for the firm's Luxembourg-registered SICAV funds, covering both equity and fixed income strategies. Since 2009, he has been part of the fixed income investment team, working on a wide range of strategies. His current focus is US multisector. Robert earned a bachelor's degree from Gordon College and a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in education from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

    Ward Brown, CFA, Ph.D., is an investment officer and fixed-income portfolio manager at MFS Investment Management® (MFS®). He is a member of the Emerging Markets Debt team, and his management duties include MFS' emerging market debt strategies and institutional accounts in addition to conducting macroeconomic research and individual credit analysis.

    Ward joined MFS in 2005 as a fixed-income research analyst and was named portfolio manager in 2008. Prior to joining MFS, he served as an economist for the International Monetary Fund for eight years. Ward spent four years as a research and teaching assistant for the Financial Markets Group at the London School of Economics and Political Science and later served as a lecturer at the school in the Economics Department.

    Ward earned his bachelor's degree from McGill University and holds master's and doctoral degrees in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

    William J. Adams, CFA, is co-chief investment officer - Fixed Income at MFS Investment Management® (MFS®). He has joint responsibility for the global team of fixed income portfolio managers and fixed income research analysts. Bill is also a member of the MFS Global Fixed Income Management team and serves on the portfolio management team of the firm's Managed Wealth strategy. Bill joined MFS as a corporate credit analyst in 1997 and was named portfolio manager in 2000. He left MFS in 2005 and rejoined the firm in 2009 as director of High Yield Research. The following year, he was appointed director of Credit Research. In 2011, he was named high-yield portfolio manager and was appointed director of Fixed Income, with oversight of MFS' team of fixed income research analysts. He was named CIO of Fixed Income in 2015 and became co-CIO in 2023. During his tenure at MFS, Bill has covered a number of sectors, including industrials, media, cable, telecommunications, retail and consumer products. As a portfolio manager, he has invested across a variety of investment-grade and high-yield corporate bond securities. Prior to joining the firm, Bill was a credit/securities analyst at Conseco Capital Management from 1994 to 1997, where his responsibilities included investment-grade and high-yield credit, as well as equity coverage. From 1991 to 1994, he served as a lending officer at Mellon Bank. Bill received a BA in 1988 from LaSalle University. In 1990, he was awarded an MA from Indiana University, where he also received an MBA in 1991. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.
